Account deletion

Memry handles account deletion through a verified request workflow

Deleting a Memry account is separate from canceling a subscription. This page explains how deletion requests work, what gets removed, and what records may need to stay longer.

Or start a deletion request by email

If you cannot sign in, email support@projectmemry.com from the email address on your Memry account with the subject line “Memry account deletion request.”

We may ask for additional information to confirm you are the account owner before we begin a deletion workflow. Our current target is we usually acknowledge deletion requests within 5 business days.

Email account deletion request

What to do first

Cancel any active paid subscription through the billing provider of record before or while submitting the deletion request. Subscription cancellation and data deletion are separate workflows.

If you have a web subscription, use the billing controls in settings after signing in. Subscription rules are summarized in the subscription terms.

What Memry will delete

Once a deletion request is approved and verified, Memry will work to remove or de-identify the account profile, household ownership records, forwarded message records, extracted summaries, review history, notification settings, and related application data tied to the account, except where retention is legally or operationally required.

What Memry may retain

Some information may be retained after account closure when needed for legal compliance, tax or billing records, fraud prevention, abuse investigations, security logging, or short-lived backups and disaster recovery.

Raw forwarded email bodies and extracted attachment text are scheduled to age out 30 days after a message is reviewed, or 90 days after receipt when a message is never reviewed.

Structured summaries, tasks, events, and audit metadata may remain longer when they are needed for product continuity, account history, or the legally required reasons described on this page.

Retained records are kept only for the purposes that require them and are not restored to a re-opened consumer workspace automatically.

Timing

Deletion timing depends on identity verification, current subscription status, and whether the request affects records that must be retained for legal or billing reasons.

Privacy-rights requests are handled without undue delay and generally within 30 days after identity verification, although some deletions may take longer to fully age out of short-lived backups.
