About the founder

Hi, I’m Umang. I built Memry because the email that runs my family’s week was beating us.

I'm Umang. I built Memry because the email that runs my family's week was scattered across boxes nobody was actively watching — school newsletters, sports schedule changes, doctor confirmations, billing notices — and the cost of missing one was a missed pickup, a missed deadline, or a kid who couldn't go on the field trip.

Memry started as a tool for my own household. I forwarded the messages that mattered to a private address, ran a language model over them, and watched the week stop slipping. Now it's a real product with a free tier so other families can try the same workflow without committing.

The product principles haven't changed since the first prototype: review-first (the AI proposes, you approve), source-linked (every extracted event keeps the original email attached), and short raw-content retention (the model doesn't need to hold onto your forwarded messages forever, so it doesn't).

If you're a parent who'd find Memry useful, a writer covering family tech or AI tools, or another founder building in this space, I want to hear from you. The contact below reaches me directly.
